Rachel is a CEO & ex Senior Banker, qualified as a Lawyer & Accountant, with both experience working within Singapore’s start-up ecosystem and with Australian businesses. Rachel has set up businesses in both Singapore & Australia.
Since arriving in Singapore, Rachel has established her finance consultancy business, Best Capital Advisory focusing on sourcing Singaporean investment primarily from High Net Worth (HNW’s) and family offices into Australia. Rachel has also been working with local tech start-ups who are seeking international investors and partners.
Rachel is an avid networker and has created a solid network of key industry leaders across Singapore’s ecosystem. Rachel is Board Adviser for one of Singapore’s largest crowdfunding charity platform “Ray of Hope” (not-for-profit charity supporting Singapore’s underprivileged) where she advises on all aspects of managing and leading a business including strategy for growth, scale, and a global reach.
Rachel is passionate about digital disruption, platform marketplaces, NFT's and cyrptocurrency. Rachel's digital education includes a Fintech Master Program from Said Business School, University of Oxford covering fintech, edtech, proptech, insuretech and healthtech. The course required a pitch to investors on a proprietary fintech idea, where her idea focused on setting up a managed cryptocurrency fund in Singapore. This project involved navigating local regulations, business practices and Singapore’s start-up ecosystem.
Rachel is a member of the MAIA Board for the NZ Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. In her spare time, Rachel enjoys playing tennis and exploring the beautiful nature walks in Singapore.
