Fireside Chat with Minister of Sustainability and the Environment Grace Fu

Last Tuesday 16th August together with our Premier Sponsor ANZ led by Mark Evans we hosted a sold-out event on the Drive to Decarbonisation - Turning Intent into Action. The first part of the evening featured a fireside chat between Minister Grace Fu and H.E jo tyndall. We heard some insights into the realities of international negotiations, the trust and strength in the Singapore - New Zealand relationship, managing carbon credits, new innovations in the agriculture and energy industries, and supporting developing countries in their energy transition.

The evening moved onto a discussion moderated by Michele Lemmens from Tata Consultancy Services, with three industry leaders being, Irene Yong from Beca, Jeremy Sutton from Swire Shipping, and Stella Saris Chow from ANZ. Together they discussed the innovations needed to accelerate action on climate goals and their strategies, the complexities of our region’s problems, how to build financial incentives into sustainability outcomes and how they are implementing actions to align with their sustainability strategies.
