PANIA BAKER

A wealth of experience operating within international organisations in Asia, Australia, United Kingdom and New Zealand and is the Asia Service Management lead- ING Bank, Singapore.

Leading ING Asia’s sourcing control and governance capability framework to ensure a strong regulatory compliant backbone is something that I have set up and managed from conception. Adhering to the global head office intracompany contracting and service management responsibilities whilst ensuring local assurance is given to senior bank stakeholders in order to be in control of the large sourcing portfolio and to minimise risk.

Always thinking ahead with an innovative and process-orientated mind to continuously improve operations and to help guide sourcing stakeholders to succeed and understand what is required. I’m a well-rounded communicator sufficiently ensuring expectations are managed for all stakeholder levels.

Portraying strong characteristics of adaptability, resilience, proactiveness and by having an analytical nature enabled success when managing the overarching governance of the National Australia Bank's (NAB) two major infrastructure contracts - IBM (the largest in the APAC region) and Oracle. A detailed approach complying with the banks technology governance framework as well as a strong relationship focus helped to form synergies across various technology units within the bank to ensure contract value-add to be maximised for both vendors and the NAB.
